Bristol Local

Christmas Market

from Friday 30 November to Sunday 23 December 2018 Broadmead, Bristol Shopping Quarter

Bristol's Local Christmas Market is back. For the tenth year running, we'll be welcoming some of our city's best loved independent traders to Broadmead, right in the heart of Bristol Shopping Quarter. They'll be here every day from Friday 30 November to Sunday 23rd December 2018.

You'll find an exciting and eclectic mix of local artists and makers, selling everything from gorgeous gifts and seasonal treats to the finest food and drink - all from 22 wooden chalets decked out in traditional festive style. And with over 500 other independent and national stores close by, it looks like your Christmas shopping could be in the bag.

Our theme this year is 'Made in Bristol' and we're celebrating the vibrant and independent spirit of our fantastic small businesses, artists and makers. Come and support the people that make this city great and grab yourself some unique and handmade gifts into the bargain.

As Mike Cardwell, Markets Manager says: “Whether you’re after quirky stocking fillers, an extra special gift or locally sourced festive food and drink, the handpicked Bristol Local Christmas Market traders are here to help you make your visit an enjoyable and festive experience".

Meet the traders

All of our traders and makers are carefully selected. Not only do the things they make or produce have to be of the highest quality, we also want to ensure they'll give you brilliant customer service and help you buy something you're really happy with. That means being knowledgeable about what they sell (without giving you the hard sell), but also friendly and helpful. We don't think that's too much to ask...

Together they'll offer a fantastic selection of gifts including stained and blown glass, contemporary jewellery, candles, aromatics, original art, prints, cards, t-shirts and fair trade clothing. And when it comes to food and drink, you'll find no end of craft beers, local cider, artisan pies, specialist breads, jams, chutneys, chilli sauces, honey, chocolate and fudge - all produced locally and by hand.

Find out more about our lovely traders and why they do what they do. They've got some really interesting stories to tell.
